New Parking Arrangements

This year’s Buddy Walk will include new parking arrangements. Shuttle parking is the only parking available for walk participants. It will be available in the movie theatre parking lot, located at the northwest corner of Long Drive and Bowles Avenue. Long Drive is the first stop light east of Wadsworth and is located just across the street from the park entrance to the library. Parking attendants and clearly marked signs will be positioned along Bowles Avenue to direct you to the shuttle parking lots. Shuttles will be waiting to take walkers to the Buddy Walk.

If you prefer, you may walk from the shuttle parking lot to the Buddy Walk. It’s a short distance and there is a crosswalk with a traffic light at the intersection. Handicapped parking will be available in the West lots of Clement Park (handicapped license plates or hanging placard required).

Online registration for Buddy Walk is now available!

Steps for a Brighter Tomorrow
Buddy Walk is a 5K (3 mile) walk to promote advocacy and public awareness of Down syndrome.

This yearly walk was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome. It is a wonderful, heartwarming event in which thousands of people from coast to coast and around the world participate each year!
