This
beautiful bracelet was designed to further awareness about Down
syndrome. Down syndrome is also called Trisomy 21 because there
are three copies of chromosome #21 instead of the usual two copies.
In the bracelet, the 21st chromosome is represented by twenty-one
cream colored Swarovski pearls and the three copies of this chromosome
are signified by the pink, green and blue Swarovski crystals.
To emphasize the uniqueness of individuals with Down syndrome, the

The motorcycle show and swap meet is scheduled for February 2 and
3, 2008. Raffle tickets are now being sold by MHDSA for only $5
each or five for $20.
Since 1982, the Colorado Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet has been a major fund-raising opportunity for MHDSA. Jack Portice and Jim Arnett give us a double-size booth every year. Each year a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle is raffled off during the show, with the proceeds allowing us to continue to support families.

Dernell, an active member of MHDSA and the father of Mitchell,
who was born with Down syndrome, has written and recorded four
very lovely and inspirational songs. His wife, Nina, sings background
vocals on some of the songs.
The
CD contains four songs of different musical styles, woven together
with heartfelt and introspective lyrics. Mark and Nina are donating
a percentage of the profits to MHDSA.
